The Young Judea of Beaumont,
Texan held its fifth meeting Sunday,
Jan. 6. While only temporary officers
b hpld at the former meeting
permanent ones were elected at this
one. Officers elected were Presi-
dent David Yellen; vice president;
Benny Adter; secretary, Jake Mar-
kewich; treasurer, David Dorftman;
reporter, Alex Horwitz; nargeant at
armH, David Finberg. The annual
re-election of officers will be held
the first Sunday after- New "Years
of next year. A by-law corttmittee
was apopinted and they are to meet
some time this week. They are Sol
Aronson, Nathan Waldman, Jean
Szafir and David Yellen. We were
very .fortunate to get Prank R. Leva
as our athletic instructor, as he has
had much experience in that line. He
was at this meeting and addressed
the club for a few minutes. We hope
to organize a basket ball team soon
that' wiU class with the one of our
neighboring city, Houston. A good
attendance was present, and six new
members joined. Many* things were
'accomplished at the. meeting.
