Crystal Cunningham has won
honors at the Coastal Science Fair,
four times in four years.
Lindsey Lopez was third in the
county's recent Spelling Bee.
A decisive explosion wiped out
a 4-2 Sinton lead last Friday and
lifted the Owl Baseball team to a
7-4 conquest of the Pirates in
their District 30AAA opener.

are hoping Saturday's Spring
Festival will be a big success . The
city is applying for a grant with
assistance through the Texas
Local Park recreation and Open
Space Funding.

Fifteen Indictments
Intoxicated indictment named
Mark Clinton McCormack, 36, of
Sinton, while 33-year-old Juan
Moreno Ramirez, Jr., of Tynan was
charged with Felony Driving While
Intoxicated in two separate
indictments.
Pedro M. Del Bosque, 59, of
Mathis was charged with two
counts of Indecency With a Child
and Bruce Wade Edwdrds, 49, of
Aransas Pass was indicted on a
single charge of Indecency With a
Child.
Charged in a single indictment
with Aggravated Robbery were 26-
year-old Adelaida "Ida" DeLeon of
Corpus Christi, and Michael
Rivas, 22 of Mathis. Jacob John
Boatright, 19, of Ingleside was
indicted for Felony Theft. Elizabeth
Brown, 19, of Aransas Pass was
charged with Felony Forgery while
18-year-old Edward Lee Weight, Jr.,
of Aransas Pass was named in an
indictment charging him with
Unauthorized Use of a Motor
Vehicle.
Sulema Diaz Carranza, 36 of
Mathis was charged with Felony
Bail Jumping and Phillip Garcia,
20, of Odem was indicted on
charges of Retaliation and
Tampering With a Witness.
City Hall
Closed
Monday
Odem City Secretary Billie Jo
Tennill has announced that Odem
City Hall will be closed on Monday,
January 1, 1996 in observance of
New Years Day.
As a result of the Holiday
there will a change in next weeks
trash pick-up schedule. There will
be no trash picked up on Monday.
However, residents whose trash
is normally picked up on Monday,
will have their trash picked up on
Tuesday, January 2. Similarly,
residents whose trash is normally
picked up on Tuesday will received
pick-up service on Wednesday,
January 3. The regularly schedule
trash pick-up services on
Thursday and Friday will occur as
usual.
, A&H Youth
To Benefit
At Auction
The Mathis A&H Booster Club
has scheduled a used equipment
auction for Saturday, January 6,
beginning at 9 a.m. at Coastal
Plains Gin near Mathis.
Proceeds from the sale will be
used to purchase show animals
for the San Patricio-Aransas
Counties A&H Show.
Consignments for the sale will
^ be accepted until 5 p.m. on
January 5. Barbecue plates by
Bomer and Chopelas will be
available during the sale. Coastal
Plains Gin is located two miles
north of Mathis on Hwy. 359.

Cemetery
Association
Will Meet
The San Pedro Cemetery
Association has announced that it
will hold a membership meeting
on Sunday, December 31, 1995, at
\ 1 p.m. in the Community Room of
the Odem Housing Authority.
All members of the
Association are invited to attend.
Out At District Show
Nine San Patricio and Aransas
County youth matched their foods
and nutrition know how against
youth from surrounding counties
at the December 2, District 11
food Show in Victoria.
Senior participant Shannon
Gresham of the Rocking O 4-H
took a third place in nutritious
snacks and desserts. Lori
Stephens also of Rocking O, won a
blue ribbon in bread and cereal and
Leann Farrow of the Sinton 4-H
took 2nd in fruit and vegetables.
Junior division participants
included Katie Ruvalcaba, main
dish blue ribbon and Erika
Ruvalcaba, nutritious snacks and
desserts, blue ribbon. They are
members of the Aransas County
4-H.
Sub-junior division
participants included Cassie
Braddock, Rocking O 4-H,
nutritious snacks and desserts;
blue ribbon; Abigail Goldsmith,
Portland 4-H, fruits and
vegetables, blue ribbon; Adrianna
Carbajal, Aransas County 4-H,
bread and cereal 1st place blue
ribbon and Lindsey Johnson,
Aransas County 4-H, main dish,
1st place blue ribbon.
All contestants earned the
right to advance to the District 4-
H Food Show after they won top
honors at the County Show.
San Pat 4-H Barbecue
Tickets Now On Sale
San Patricio and Aransas 4-
H'ers will hold their annual
barbecue fundraiser Saturday,
January 27 at the San Patricio
County Showgrounds in Sinton
during the 47th annual
Agriculture and Homemakers
Show.
Beef with all the trimmings
will be Served from 11:30 a.m.
until 1:30 p. M. To purchase
tickets, contact any San Patricio
or Aransas Counties 4-H Club
memBer or call the Extension
office at 512-364-6234.
A HELPING HAND was given to Odem families by students
at Odem Junior High School with each class collecting
goods for different families. Deliveries were made by

A San Patricio County Grand
Jury has returned 15 indictments
charging 15 individuals with a
variety of offenses ranging from
Assault to Tampering With A
Witness.
Four of those indicted were
charged with drug related crimes.
Charged with Felony Possession of
Marijuana was Jesus Reynaldo
Salinas, 57, of Houston and 33-
year-old Arturo Garcia of Mathis.
An indictment charging
Aggravated Possession of
Marijuana and Failure to Pay
Controlled Substance Tax was
returned against Heriberto
Aparicio, 33, of Houston and
charged with Possession of a
Controlled Substance was William
Gerald Hogan, 49, of Aransas
Pass.
A Felony Driving While
