City's Employes
PASADENA - Pasadena Oty
Council voted Tuesday to borrow
3100,000 from two banks to meet
the city's payroll.
The city, which has a large
amount of bond money in the
bank, will pay three per cent in-
terest on the 3100,000 it is borrow-
ing. It is drawing no interest on
the money it has to the banks.
Commissioners Varreece Berry
and Allen G. Thurman hinted
strongly that the city would be
better off if it would take bids for
a bank depository.
