The chorus is from the Medina
Children's Home located in the
Hill Country near Kerryilie. It is
a home for adolescent boys and
girls. r
In March of I960 the elders of
the Church of Christ in Kerrville
decided to investigate the
possibilities of establishing a
home for children. Word was
received that the citizens of
Medina were offering to donate
328 acres of land to be operated
H,as a home for children.
The home was established in

Sterling, said that she thought
the school had to be at least three
years old before an exchange
student could attend.
Gene talked with Mrs. Brown
at the beginning of the last school
term and within a few weeks
action was underway to get an
AFS chapter started at Sterling.
The school was told that they
could not organize and raise
enough money for a student

Gene is a student at Sterling
and has worked with severall
others to organize an AFS club,
