Football As I See It
By Harry Wahrmund
The upset Friday night when
Center Point defeated Harper by
an 18-16 score came as no surprise
to this reporter.
Vou recall that earlier Harper
defeated Center Point by a 16-14
score and as I had stated in a ear-
lier report of this game, the team
who gets the break would win.
Well this time Center Point got the
safety and won. Even with this
loss, Harper still has won the
District 9 A championship. Due to
an injury Rahe played only the
first Quarter.
The Billies finally woke up Fri-
day night and had to come from
behind to win. Once they were in
pay dirt, they just couldn’t be stop-
ped. The game was kinda rough
but still seemed the fans enjoyed
all the action.
Come Friday night, if the Billies
want to stay in this District 15AAA
battle they better not fumble and
not give Uvalde any breaks,
they do and play heads up foot-
ball, the Billies will win by six
points.
The Indians didn’t have much
trouble with Brackettville and
come Saturday, Nov. 8, the Indians
will have their third straight Dis-
trict Championship.
Of course the Texas Longhorns

Light concerning the Ohio State
No. 1 team in the nation. Since
Ohio played in the Rose Bowl last
year even tho they stay No. 1, they
will not be allowed to play in the
Rose Bowl nor in any other Bowl
ever the nation. Hlinois Coach Jim
Valek stated it would be a shame
if a team rated No. 1 wouldn’t get
lo play in some Bowl. I agree with
him. ’’ut then Coach Valek stated
I;c would like to see Ohio go down
Couth in a Bowl and show them a
