Thursday Forum's sixth annual port of Baytown Opportunity
Games Party is scheduled for 7:^0
to 10:30 p.m. July 25 at Baytown
Community House. Proceeds from

Mrs. R. L. Martin, chairman of
ticket sales, announces that tick-
ets may be purchased for $1
prior to the event
Among various games to be of-
fered at the party are bridge, ca-
nasta and a special section of du-
plicate bridge which will be under
the direction of E. A. Milton.
Mrs. R. C. Stephenson Jr. is
chairman of the committee pro-
viding refreshment* for the party.
General chairman for the
games party is Mrs. R. F. Adam*,
who also serves as president of
the Forum. Other Forum officers
are Miss Beulah Mae Jackson,
vice president, and Mrs. Felix
Hatchell, secretary-treasurer.
Mrs. J. S. Mann Jr. will be in
charge of door prize presentations
at the sixth annual affair.
The games party, which pro-
vides support for thC Opportunity
School, is 'the Forum's basic an-
nual project. The party began
originally as a means of providing
one scholarship to the school but
now has enlarged to cover the
purchasing of capital equipment
for the school’* sheltered work-
shop.
Members of the Forum who are
also board members of the Op-
portunity School are Mrs. M. W.
Harper, Mrs. Ben Thomas and
Mrs. Knox Bevers.
Organized in 1945, the F<----
one of Baytown’s three feder-
ated clubs, and its 16 members
meet each fipst .and third Thurs-
day of the month.
