OPEN AU DAY SATURDAY-NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY
Thompson appealed to the Court
] Civil Appeals, with the Harris
aunty district attorney serving
i his lawyer. The appeal was
transferred to Waco, where that
court held that the trial court was

provision under Texas criminal
law to try a corporation for a
misdemeanor, but argued that in

rules of common law prevailed.

Senior Citizens Can
Be Competent Driven
, HOUSTON — Driving perform-
ance, not age, should be the de-
termlMjg factor in permitting our
senior citizens ta drive, 'accord-
ing to E. R, Klamm, accident'pre-

Klamm says senior citizens,
those past 60, can continue to be
competent drivers and their need
to drive can be as great or great-
er than that of younger people.
"Those who learn to compen-
sate for the toll of the passing
years need not be a problem just
because of advancing age," he
points out. "This means those who
have no serious disabilities, who
restrict their driving as to amount
and time of day, and who keep
pace with driving knowledge.”
After retirement, older people
will probably do more driving
than ever before, Klamm .be-
