UTSA signs Vidor Hampton
V ictor _ Hampton, a 6’6’\ ’81-’82 Roadmnner m.t,
up finish. Victor shot 60%
from the field while playing
for the well disciplined team
of Coach Rich Botelho. He
was named the MVP of the
Ohlone Tournament and was
selected to the alTtournament
teams at the Merced Tourna-
ment and the Chabot Tourna-
ment. The highlight of his
sophomore year was Cha-
bot’s upset of number one
ranked Merced Junior Col-
lege, probably the most tal-
ented junior college team in
the nation.
As a high schooler at
Fremont, Hampton was
named all city (Oakland,
Calif.) and all East Bay while
averaging 17 points per game.
Coach Don Eddy comments,
“Vic gives us that quick leap-
ing forward with a great atti-
tude. He will be a prime can-
didate for a starting position
on the 81- 82 UTSA Road
runners.”
Hampton is the son of
Mrs. Vera Hampton of
Oakland, Calif.

for its May Help Smokers

Prior to the switch in for-
mat smokers who wished to
quit had to attend eight clin-
ics to complete the Help
Smokers Quit (HSQ)
Program.
With the switch, smokers
now have the option of at-
tending one. four or six
“FREE” sewions to com-
plete the program and.
hopefully, break their habit.
Many people, who have
smoked for a number of
years, feel that one session
is not enough. For them a
each Wednesday from May 6
through June 10. Times for
the clinics will be 3:30 to
5: SO p.m. each session.
A four session clinic will
be held on Monday and Wed-
nesdays from 7 to 9 pjn. at
the Good Shepard Presbyter
