Senior Citizens Of Mills County
A Community Recreation
Center for Senior Cltlxens of
Mills County Is being organised
through the Community Action
Office, with the help of several
Interested people. The purpose
of the Center Is to provide Sen-
ior Cltlaens of the county with
pleasure and satisfaction
through helping others.

this week that plans have been
made for the older people of
Goldthwalte and the county to
get together at the Community
Center (office of the Stock
Show Barn) for games, quilt-
ings, art work, sewing, etc., as
well as lust visiting. Transpor-
tation will be furnished for
those who will need It.
According to Mrs. Long the
first “party" will be Wednesday,
November 29, from 2:00 until
4:30 p. m. All Senior Cltlxens
and patients from the rest
homes are Invited to attend for
all or any part of that time. Re-
freshments will be served and
there will be a quilt In the
frames to start on. There will
also be some toys to be repaired,
that will be distributed among
children of the county for
Christmas. Anyone wishing to
donate doll clothes or used toys
to be mended or repaired, may
take them to the Community
Action office, In the Courthouse
by the 29th.
Mrs. Long urges, “If you are a

dustrial Planning Seminar (or
Goldthwalte on Thureday, No-
vember 36th
This at day meeting In Aus-
tin In loom 510 of the Bam
Houston BUte Office Building
will feature speaker* from the
Industrial Commission Staff,
Bureau of Business Research.
University of Texas. Tourist De-
velopment Agency, and the
Texas Employment Commission.
The meeting, sponsored by the
Goldthwalte Industrial Foun-
dation, will cover every phase
of Commanlty and Economic
Development and will open with
commentary by Jim Heath,
West Texas Industrial Develop-
ment Consultant. Texas Indus-
trial Commission
This Is one of twenty such
programs held each year by the
Commission and Is designed
specifically for Goldthwaite. All
civic and business cltisens are
Invited to attend.

members serving on the nine
committees of the Goldthwalte

went over the goal set for this

chairman this year.
The Association had a goal of
