wedding anniversary at their
borne next Sunday afternoon,
October 9. with open house from
2:00 until 6:00 o'clock. All of
their friends are invited to at-
tend and help make this a
happy occasion for Mr. and Mrs.
Smith.
LAST RITES FOR
EARL LOVELACE
HELD TUESDAY
Funeral services will be con-
ducted at 10 o’clock Tuesday
morning from the Baptist
Church In Mullin for Earl Love-
lace. Mr. Lovelace passed away
in Brown wood He was a broth-
er of Mrs. A. H. Daniels now of
Waco, and the late Roy Love-
lace. We extend heartfelt sym-
pathy to all of his loved ones.
1 had a very nice visit with
my daughter and family at
Round Rock last week. My
grandson la “all wool and two
yards wide." We had a big time
together.
Mrs. L. D. Cornelius of Fort
Worth; also Mr. and Mrs. Jay
Weeks of Lufkin, were recent
visitors here with their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Smith.
Mrs. Lue Roth well plans to
spend the winter months at
Amarillo and Olympia, Wash-
ington with her two sons and
their families. She will be leav-
ing soon.
Mrs. Emma Hart Is home af-
ter spending several days In
Gatesvllle with her daughter,
Mrs. Loyd Hancock. Also Mrs.
Vesta McCormick Is home after
Watting In Big 8prlng and Eola
with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mus-
grove and family of Irving Wa-
ited here with his aunt. Miss
Artie Mosler. a night last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kirby of
Lufkin have a new daughter.
She has been named Callie
Gayle. Mrs. Kirby Is the former
Margaret Ellen Smith, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Smith.
Mrs. Smith Is in Lufkin helping
out with her new grandaugh-

Friends of Till Jenkins will be
sorry to learn of his Illness. He
Is In a San Antonio hospital
and Is quite 111.
NEW CAVE DISCOVERED
NEAR GEORGETOWN
A group of F. F. A. boys have
gone to Waco to attend the
Waco Fair.
I thought It might be quite
Interesting to people to know
that a new cave has been dis-
covered Just out of Georgetown,
between Georgetown and Round
Rock A group of men were con-
stricting a large bridge on the
Free Way and they drilled Into
this place. They are calling It
the “Outer Space Cave.” They
say It has all the beautiful
things similar to Carlsbad Cav-
erns. I'm sure they will learn
much more about It as time goes
on. They have already construc-
ted some buildings near It for
use as offices, etc.
SCHOOL WORK DAY
ACCOMPLISHES MICH
The work day at the school-
house last Saturday drew a big
crowd. They really did a good
job too. Everything looks so nice
and clean now. Looks like a
different campus as well as In-
side the buildings Where people
work together like that they can
really accomplish a lot.
Our boys will play Jonesboro
Friday night, October 9, at Mul-
lin. All are Invited to attend
and back our boys up.
Mrs. J. E. Smith, Mrs. Jay
Weeks and Mrs. Marvin Bowden
of Comanche baked a big birth-
day cake for Mrs. Minnie Adams
of Zephyr. They carried It to
her Monday and helped her
celebrate her 88th birthday.
Mrs. Lena Lelnneweber is In
the hospital In Ooldthwaite. She
has been quite IQ, but Is better
now.
Mr. and Mrs. Charley Warren
of Mullin have been visiting
their two daughters and fam-
ilies, Mr. and Mrs. Hamll Lynch
Ronnie and Debra, and Mr. and
Mrs. Johnny Max Head, Cindy,
Sherry and Carla Kay, the past
three weeks In Hobbs, New
Mexico.
