a business trip to Goldthwaite

The first of this week we had
the coolest weather of this sea-
son. Thin Ice was reported
Tuesday morning.
Bro. Hester preached ^Sunday
morning and announced that "he
would preach each second and
fourth Sunday In each month,
both morning and night.
He preached Sunday afternoon
at the McGirk school house.
After a lingering illness the
mother of Messrs. Luther and
Trafton Arnold, died in a
Brownwood hospital last Tues-
day night. The remains were
laid to rest in the Evant ceme-
tery- at“ 10 o’clock -Thursday
mOTning that being her mother's
92nd birthday. Mrs. Gholson,
mether o[ the deceased, is quite
active for one of her age and
lives in Evant where Mrs. Arnold
made her home. She leaves a
number of children, grandchild-
ren and great-grandchildren
Our sympathy is extended to all
her loved ones.
The quilting will be with Mrs.
Fannie House next Wednesday.
