pression Is over, we wonder 11
folks in general are getting ready
In any way far the next one that
to sure to come? During the past
several year* we have been re-
minded again and again by the
press, pulpit and from the speak-
'era rostrum that panics, hard
tin** and depressions come in cy-
cles. last a variable length of time,
■five way to good times which last
a few years and are succeeded by
hard t'mes again.
Ptobabiy no one will dispute these
facte. Yet how many right now
are getting randy In any way for
< the next era of hard times when
It comes? How many that have
been on relief, or liave existed on
work finaiurd by the government
oi have government jobs In con-
nection with the administration of
relief, pensions, or otherwise ( are
making any plans which will en-
able them to take care of them-
selves <-without governmental aid
when the next depression hits? Our
guess would be only a very small
per cent.

sion comes hjw many will again
call for help? Our guess would
be fully $6 per cent. And how will
the remaining 35 per cent get ready
