The Robert E. Lee Marching Band had an award-winning performance
Saturday at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The
band received First Division trophies in the following categories: music,
general effect, percussion, color guard, and drum m^jor. This perfor-
mance marks the end of the REL Band competition marching season. The

famous Robert E. Lee Band also recently won First Division ratings at UIL
competition which earned them a superior rating. The band is under the
field direction of Robert Poulin, Caleb Lopez and Dr. Stefan Ice. The color
guard is under the direction of Tori Burton. The band is led onto the fields
by drum mayors Tara Bevers and Meredith Gibson.
Crosby vet
celebrations
this weekend
The Eastside Veterans
Celebration - A Celebration
to Honor Our Past and Pres-
ent Warriors, will have three
days of activities, starting
Thursday, in Crosby.
The event will kick off
Thursday with a patriotic
communities rally, “Red,
White & U,” at 6:30 p.m. at
Cougar Stadium. The event
features schools and the
Crosby High School Mili-
tary Marching Band.
Friday and Saturday a
barbecue cookoff will be at
the Crosby Fairgrounds.
Friday night will have a
dance with live entertain-
ment beginning at 7 p.m.
and an art exhibit at the
high school.
Saturday begins with a
parade at 10 a.m. then a
Veterans Fete starting at
11:30 a.m. at the David H.

Stalking
A female employee of a
business in the 4900 block
of Garth Road reported be-
ing stalked by a man who
has been following and
harassing her. The man
is Hispanic, between 50-
65 years old, with a dark
complexion, white
and dark-colored mous-
tache. A police report was
filed at 3:13 p.m. Monday
and when located, charges
could be filed along with a
criminal trespass warning.
Thefts
A theft occurred in the
700 block of Schilling
Street Monday when three
men in a light green Altima
stole $100 worth of lawn
equipment from a garage.
A man stole clothing
from a store inside San Ja-
cinto Mall. The incident in-
volved $25 worth of items.
BAYTOWN POLICE BEAT
Arrest
At 10:52 p.m. Monday, a
man was arrested for pos-
session of marijuana in the
600 block of North Pruett
Street following a traffic
stop. Police confiscated 12
grams of marijuana.
Failure to stop
A hit and run accident
occurred in the 6100 block
of Interstate 10 at North
Main Street at 12:32 p.m.
Monday. The fleeing ve-
hicle is a silver, four-door
Honda with Texas license
plate number BZ1D502.
Vehicle crimes
A white 1999 Buick Re-
gal was stolen from a resi-
dence in the 2300 block of
New Jersey Street at 8:50
p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle
was valued at $2,500.
29 offenses
Between Monday
and Tuesday mornings,
Baytown police officers
wrote 29 offense reports
and investigated incidents
that included one auto
theft, one burglar)', one
driving while intoxicated,
five thefts, 13 other arrests
and eight miscellaneous
cases. During that same
time period, police also
investigated five vehicle
accidents.

Pink Heals Event
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15
10 A.M.-3 P.M.
San Jacinto Mall in Baytown
A Fun Run will be held at 8 a.m. followed by the arrival of .pink
fire trucks rolling through Baytown around 10 a.m. Cancer
survivors and patients can sign the pink fire trucks. Education
materials and drawings for prizes will be held. T-shirts will be
on sale at the event benefiting Pink Heals. Come to the event
and enjoy entertainment for the whole family.
