Harold Edwin (Sonny)
.Aiken Jr. 85, of High-
lands, IX passed from
this world on Tuesday
July 9, 2013 at St. James
House, in Baytown, TX.
He was bom in Sinton,
TX on October 31, 1927.
Sonny was the 5th child
born to Harold Edward
Aiken and Ellie Lee
Mitchell. He graduated
from Robert E. Lee fligh
School in Baytown, TX.
Then enlisted in the U.S.
Army where he served
until 1949. He began his
career at Armco Steel in
1950 as an Electrician,
progressing to the level
of Maintenance Superin-
tendent before his retire-
ment in 1982. He married
on June 20, 1952 to Polly
Elizabeth Earle in High-
lands, TX. He loved to
fish and hunt, but main-
ly he loved the fellow-
ship with his family and
friends in these activities.
He enjoyed traveling with
his lifelong companion,
Polly.
He is preceded in.death
by his parents and three of
his sisters.

He is survived by his
loving wife of 61 years,

Rickie Harold Jones
was bom on November
12, 1953 to Melba Lou-
ise Hall Jones and Lynn
Jones of Baytown, Tex-
as. Rickie was the fourth
child of Melba Raymond.
After many years of grow-
ing up, Melba married
Noyai Alonzo Raymond,
Jr., who raised Rickie,
taught him how to drive a
car, and "family” values.
Rickie attended Carver
Elementary and gradu-
ated from Robert E. Lee
High School the Class of
1972. Rickie worked for
Arco Chemical Plant and
retired. After retiring, he
joined the cleaning busi-
ness at First Class Clean-
ers, his mom's business at
Raymond Cleaners and
St. James House until
health issues. Rickie lead
a very private life, loved
his wife, and family.
Rickie's cherishes in
memory his devoted lov-
ing wife. Darlene of forty
years. One son. Alias K.
Jones (Toni) of Baytown,
one daughter, Tangela
Jones (Clinton) of Hous-
ton. The pride and joy of
his life, his grandchildren:

Carolyn Jane
Smith
Carolyn Jane Smith, 69,
of Baytown and formerly
of High Island, died Sun-
day, July 7,2013. She was
born on April 25, 1944,
in Marlin, to Mary Alice
McAlpine Denby and Ira
George Denby.
Jane worked many
years at both Gulf Shores
Bank, Crystal Beach and
Gulf Coast Bank, Winnie.
In July of 1996, she re-
ceived a General Banking
Diploma from the Ameri-
can Institute of Banking.
For the past thirteen years
she worked as the Finan-
cial Aid Counselor at Tex-
as Chiropractic College
in Pasadena. Jane was a
lifelong member of Beta
Sigma Phi, an avid read-
er, enjoyed crocheting,
watching movies, and will
forever be remembered
by her grandchildren as
“Honey”, but most of all,
for the love she gave to
her family and friends.
Jane is survived by
her husband of forty-six
years, Danny Smith of
Baytown; sons, Brad
Smith of the Woodlands;
Corey Smith and his wife,
Andrea, of Montgomery;
and Darren Smith and his
wife, Jennifer, of Winnie;
daughter, Natalie Smith
of Winnie; grandchil-
dren, Nadia, Naomi, Eric,
Alex, Makenzie, Kendal,
Cameron, Zachary, Jo-
nah, Faith, Trinity, Kyle,
Haley, Hannah, and Ty;
great-grandson, Damien;
and brothers, David Den-
by and his wife, Sue of
Hutto and Stephen Denby
and his wife, Karlene of
Clearlake.
She is preceded in death
by her parents; and grand-
son, Cody Sabol.
A gathering of Jane’s
family and friends will
be from 5:00 p.m. until
8:00 p.m. Friday, July 12,
2013, at Broussard’s, 134
West Buccaneer Drive,
Winnie. Her funeral ser-
vice will be held at 10:00
a.m. Saturday, July 13,
2013, at Broussard’s, with
interment at High Island
Cemetery, High Island.

Salvador G. Ramirez
passed away on Wednes-
day, July 10, 2013 sur-
rounded by his loving
family. He was born on
February 14, 1945 : in
Rosenberg, Texas to Ju-
lian and Consuelo (Gue-
vara) Ramirez. Salvador
graduated from Terry
High School and went
on to be a pipeline oper-
ator inspector for Exxon
where he retired. In his
free time he enjoyed bar-
becuing, working in the
yard, and going on cruis-
es. His passion in life
was spending time with
his family, especially his
grandchildren. Salvador
was a positive person, and
always had a smile ,on his
face. He is preceded in
death by his parents. He
will be deeply missed by
all who knew and loved
him.
Salvador is survived
by his loving wife of 40
years, Yolanda Tameyoza
Ramirez; son, Rolando
Ramirez and wife, Cindy;
daughter, Ramonna Gari:
bay and husband, Ruben;
grandson, Caleb Garibay;
grand-daughters, Aman-
da Garibay and Aerial
Ramirez. He is also sur-
vived by numerous niec-
es, nephews, friends,-and
family.

Wavne Stokes
was always willing to
help anyone in need. Don
had three children and
was loved and adored by
many and will be sore-
played a vital roll in all of
their lives. Don was also
Donald Wayne Stokes,
59 of Baytown went home
to be with the Lord Sat-
urday July 6, 2.013 at his
home in Baytowm. Don-
ald was bom in Houston,
Texas to Allan Leo Stokes
and Bertha Stokes.
Donald was a beloved
father, brother, son, and
friend. Be was a very-
kind and loving person
that did:: much,-for many.
He had a giant heart and
an Army veteran and was
stationed in Korea shortly
after the war. In his later
years he worked at the
VFW Hall where he spent
. most of his time meet-
ing many a kindred spir-
it and making life long
friendships. Don was a
natural handyman and
was always helping oth-
ers, giving of himself and
never asking or expecting
anything in return. He
ly missed by all. Donald
was preceded in death by
his brother Delton Ray
Stokes, father Alan Leo
Stokes and mother Bertha
Walker.
He is survived by broth-
er Allan Henry Stokes of
Baytown, daughter Sher-
ilene Gavin of Lake Jack-
son,.. Daughter Shauna
Lawhon of New Caney,
Daughter Cherie Patton
of New Caney, his step
mother Jan as well as
many grandchildren and
one great grandson.
