For 'Blithe Spirit’

Baytown Little Theater pro-
duction of "Blithe Spirit."

MRS. JENNIE C. Hurlburt, a resident of St. James House,
celebrated her 100th birthday Sunday. Her sons, Ur. Edward
G. Hurlburt of Virginia Beach, Va., James S. Hurlburt of Liv-.
ingston and Henry C. Hurlburt of Chapel Hill, visited her on the
momentous occasion. A special birthday cake was baked and
served during the celebration.

Gulf Coast Hospital Auxiliary
Has Christmas Luncheon
The Gulf Coaat Hospital
Auxiliary met at the Rama-
da-Tower for a Christmas
luncheon and gift exchange.
Mrs. Fred Huey, president,
conducted the meeting.
Special guests attending
the luncheon were Mike Ma-
loy, administrator at Gulf
Coast Hospital, Mra. Maloy,
Mrs. M. B. Patterson, moth-
er of Mrs. Richard D. Atkins,
Mrs. A. A. Trifilio, Mrs
George E. Felknor, and Bar
bara Wunsch, R. N., in-serv-
ice director at Gulf Coast
Hospital. Sustaining mem-
bers attending were Mrs. At-
kins and Mrs. T. R. Kern
play.

Maloy spoke of plana to be
projected into the duties of
the auxiliary, and to advise
them that the administration
will work with them in, all
their endeavors. He compli-
mented the auxiliary on the
Christmas decorations in the
hospital, and the Candy
Stripers on the tree they de-
corated in the hospital lobby.
Maloy reported on the pro-
gress of the Professional
Building. It should be ready
for occupancy in late Jan-
uary.
Mrs. J. W. Coates reported
that the Candy Stripers deco-
rated a lobby tree at their
Christmas party Sunday.
The next Candy Striper ,
meeting will be Jan. 17.
The committee for
decorating the hospital were
Mrs. Ralph Stephen, Mrs. B.
E. Ellis, Mrs. J. C. Evans,
Mrs, T. F. Clark and Mrs.
Coates.
Mrs. Huey had the doll on
display - -that- the auxiliary
purchased for “Operation
Smile”. The doll will be on
display at Alaniz Printing
Service, 312 W. Texas.
Mrs. Clark’s Girls Auxilia-
ries from Memorial Baptist
Church are making holders
for candy to be distributed to

"Mrs. 6ehe' Fletcher" ’and
Mrs. Leon Meismer are new
members.
Awards were presented to
three members for hours vol-
unteered. Mrs. R. L. Bull,
and Mrs. Meismer, a 30 hour
patch, and Mrs. Stephen, a
200 hour bar.
