BIBLE VERSE
Beyond all question,
the mystery from which
true godliness springs
is great: He appeared in
the flesh, was vindicated
by the Spirit, was seen
by angels, was preached j
among the nations, was
believed on in the world, j
was taken up in glory.

Let go of your LEGOs for Sterling Library
Sterling Municipal Library is hosting
a LEGO drive between through Jan. 3
as the library’s youth services division
prepares to host a monthly LEGO Night
program for pre-teens age 8 to 12. Do-
nated blocks can be brought to the refer-
ence desk at Sterling Municipal Library,
located at 1 Mary Elizabeth Wilbanks
Ave.
The toys will be put to good use at the
first LEGO Night, which is scheduled
for Monday, Jan. 27 at 5:30 pm. LEGO
night activities will include building
contests and challenges to put kids’ in-
genuity to the test. LEGO Night will join
the weekly rotation of free activities for
pre-teens on Mondays at 5:30 pm. Oth-
er programs include science workshops,
book club meetings and crafts.
The library requests that only LEGO
blocks are brought in, as the larger du-
plex blocks will not work for the con-
struction challenges planned for the pre-
teens.
For more information, Call the library
at 281-427-7331.
BLT auditions set for ‘Art’
Auditions for the initial
offering of the Baytown Lit-
tle Theater’s 53th season,
the comedy “Art” by Yazmi-
na Reza, have been set for
Sunday and Monday at the
Baytown Little Theater.
Tidies for both audition ses-
sions are 7 p.m.
Directed by BLT member
Jim Wadzinski, “Art” is set
in Paris and revolves around
three friends - Serge, Yvan,
and Marc. Serge, and aficio-
nado of modem art, buys a
painting for a huge amount
of money. The painting,
however, is nothing but a
white canvas with a few
white diagonal lines on it.
Marc insists that Serge has
done an incredibly stupid
thing, while Yvan tries to
placate them both, agree-
ing with Marc at times and
agreeing with Serge at oth-
ers. The disagreement de-
volves into something that
becomes terribly personal
and threatens the long-time
friendship of the three men.
“Art” originally opened
in Paris in 1994, with later
productions on London’s
West End and on Broadway,
where it ran for more than
600 performances and won
the Tony Award for Best
Play in 1998. The cast is
three men, with an age range
of 30 to 45 years old.
For more information, vis-
it the BLT website at www.
