Mrs. Marcus E. Vidrine
nee Dorothy “Dot” Mae
Wismer passed away in her
home in Fredericksburg,
Texas on Saturday, Febru-
ary 2nd, 2013 at the age of
85 years. She was bom in
Fort Arthur, Texas on Feb-
ruary 18, 1927 to Wardie
Cash Wismer and Ruth
Murphy Wismer. Dot was
raised in Baytown, Texas
where she attended Robert
F. Lee High School. She
went to work for Humble
Oil and Refining Company
right out of high school.
Dot married Marcus Ed-
ward Vidrine on January
17, 1947. Marcus and Dot
lived in Baytown until the
mid 80’s when they moved
to Fredericksburg.
Dot had a successful
career in the Real Estate
business. She worked many
years as a secretary and
office manager for Gene
Muller before going into
business on her own. She
owned and operated Dot
Vidrine Realty. During her
career in' the Real Estate
business, she held many
positions on the Bay Area
Board of Realtors as well
as being active in the State
Board of Realtors. She also
developed and built homes
in tne Lakewood area.
After relocating to Fred-
ericksburg, Texas, Dot
joined Nixon Real Estate,
and then went on to work
at Durham Land Compa- >
ny. She stayed active in the
Fredericksburg Board of
Realtors and even held the
title of President of their
board. Dot continued to
work in the business on a
daily basis until the age of
80. It was always easy for
Dot to make friends. She
had a winning smile for ev-
eryone she met and loved
having people in their home
where she loved to cook for
guests. There was always
something good to eat in
her kitchen, and she loved
to share those things with
friends and neighbors.
Dot was preceded in
death by her parents and
her brother, M.L. “Wimpy”
Wismer.
She is survived by her
husband of 66 years, Mar-
cus E. Vidrine, Sr. Dot had
two children; daughter, Lin-
da Gray Ugor (husband An-
drew) of Dallas, Texas and
son, Marcus E. Vidrine, Jr.
(wife Candy) of Fredericks-
burg. She had 6 grandchil-
dren; Kyle Gray, Dallas,
TX, Richard A Gray, III,
Dallas, TX; Marcus E. Vid-
rine, III, Borger, TX, Austin
Vidrine, Galveston, TX,
Madison Vidrine, Borger,
TX, and Carlton Vidrine,
Fredericksburg, along with
one great granddaughter,
Elbe Blanco, Dallas, TX.
Dot is also survived by one
sister-in-law, Gloria Wis-
mer; 5 nieces and nephews;
Ann Wismer, Mark Mitch-
ell, Lincoln Mitchell, Leah
Mitchell Tufley,: and . John
Mitchell, all of Houston.

Crystal M. Rose, 92, of
Baytown, TX, passed away
on February 2, 2013. She
was born March 26, 1920
in Humble, TX to Bingly
Fulton Martin and Willie
Ann McDonald. Crys-
tal lived in Baytown, TX
for most of her life where
she taught Sunday school
for years and was also a
worthy matron in order of
the Eastern Star. Crystal
was a fantastic and lov-
ing mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, great-
great grandmother and the
most fantastic mother-in-
law. Crystal enjoyed play-
ing bridge and she loved to
travel.
She is preceded in death
by her husband of 53 years,
Mabin D. Rose, Sr., three
brothers, Clifford Mar-
tin, Bingly Fulton Martin,
James Fulton Martin, and
James Martin, and one
grandson, Ken Sager.
She is survived by her
daughter, Jeanette Sag-
er and husband Charles,
son, Mabin David Mar-
tin, Jr. and fiancee Jill,
six grandchildren, fifteen
great grandchildren and six
great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive
friends on Tuesday, Feb-
ruary 5, 2013 from Noon
to 2:00 p.m. at Memorial
Baptist Church.
Funeral services will he
held on Tuesday, Febru-
ary 5, 2013 at 2:66 p.m. at

vosad, 79, of Crosby.
passed away on Thursday,
January 31. 2013. He was
bom in Baytown on Sep-
tember 22. 1933. to Paul
Peter Novosad and Clara
Julie (Hlanak) Novosad.
Mr. Novosad was a 1951
graduate of Robert E. Lee
High School. He attended
the University of Texas in
Austin and also proudly
served his country in the
United States Army. He
retired from DuPont as a
payroll supervisor. Mr.
Novosad was a member
of the Knights of Colum-
bus Council 10875 in San
Augustine, Texas, and KJT
in Baytown. Besides his
family, he enjoyed fishing,
gardening and cooking.
Preceded in death by
his parents and brothers,
R. Cl and Birnie; Mr. No-
vosad is survived by two
brothers, L. J. Novosad
and wife, Sue. and Michael
Novosad and wife, Diana;
three sisters, Patsy French,
Jeannette Holmes and
Sherry Cook and husband,
John; numerous nieces and
nephews; and many other
loving friends and fami-
ly members. The family
would like to give a special
word of thank you to Mr.
Novosad’s caregiver, Mary
Pelage, for her ongoing
kindness and professional
care during his last years
and also to Deacon Archie
Benham and Father Amel
Barrameda for their many

Mary Virginia Revils
Bennett, 82, of Baytown,
passed away on February
2, 2013, at a local nursing
home. She was bom May
27, 1930, in Jacksonville
Arkansas, to Lonnie Re-
vils and Lucille Marr. As
a child, Mrs. Bennett lived
in an orphanage for a pe-
riod of time. She married
at the age of sixteen. For
over twenty years, Mrs.
Bennett owned and oper-
ated the House of Gemini
Hair Styling Salon. She
was a member of Grace
United Methodist Church
before the church merged
with Cedar Bayou Unit-
ed Methodist Church. An
avid bowler, Mrs. Bennett
was a member of several
bowling leagues.
Preceded in death by her
parents; husband; children.

Bennett; grandchild, Keith
Bennett; siblings, Mabel
Goodnight, Kenneth Re-

retired from the Pipefitters
Local #211 in Houston,
was a member of the First
United Pentecostal Church
of Mont Belvieu, Baytown
Masonic Lodge #1357,
Archives -Masonic Lodge
#1399, and a Shriner. He
was a people person, a pol-
itician deluxe, and a won-
derful family earegiv er. His
grandchildren Matthew,
Camryn, and Joshua were
the light of his life. He had
a passion for his church,
helping everyone and trav-
eling and his favorite past-
time was agitating.
He was preceded in
death by his parents, Frank
William and Eva Dray-
ton Rice and brothers, Joe
Wayne Rice, Jerry Lane
Rice, and Charles David
Rice. He is survived by
his wife of 54 years, Lin-
da Rice of Mont Belvieu;
