gram is currently taking
pre-orders for the third
annual Chocolate-Covered
Strawberry Fundraiser.
Strawberries will be sold
in front of the Baytown
Police Department, 3200
N. Main St., from 11 a.m.
to 6 p.m. on Wednes-
day and Feb. 14, just in
time for Valentine’s Day.
Options include crushed
Oreo or chopped pecan
toppings in addition to
plain chocolate covered
strawberries. Each $10

gifts so that they can expe-
rience the magic and joy of
the Christmas season.
Baytown Blue Santa has
been providing families
with assistance since the
1970s.
This would not be pos-
sible without the support
and donations from the lo-
cal community, businesses
and civic groups each year.

Drug deal gone bad after
victim arrested for possession

Baytown police arrest-
ed a Baytown man for
possession of marijua-
na after he called police
to report that he was the
victim of an aggravated
robbery.
Police were originally
dispatched to a robbery
call in the 5000 block of
Garth Road about 10:40
p.m. Monday. When of-
ficers arrived, they spoke
with the 22-year-old vic-
tim who told police that
he Was meeting a man in
order to purchase illegal
narcotics.
After the drug deal was
completed, police said the
victim was attempting to
leave the dealer’s vehicle
when another unknown
man pulled a handgun on
the victim and demanded
the keys to his vehicle and
his cash. C
The victim complied
and gave the individuals
his keys and $100 in cash
before they fled the scene.

POLICE BEAT
Man robbed at
knifepoint
Baytown police are in-
vestigating the aggravat-
ed robbery of a Baytown
man who was robbed at
knifepoint at 9:20 a.m.
Tuesday.
Police said the robbery
occurred in the 2100 block
of James Bowie Drive.
The robber alleged-
ly stole the victim’s cell
phone, wallet and keys, all
valued at more than $500.
Craig’s List scam
A Baytown man went to
the Baytown Police De-
partment in reference to a
forgery that occurred in the
1200 block of Jeanie Lane.
The man told police that
he signed up for a job on
Craig’s List and was told
to keep $350 out of a $950
money order they sent him
for delivering supplies. At
that time, the money order
was found to be a forg-
ery. The incident occurred
sometime between Jan. 5
and Tuesday. ■
Thefts
- A man contacted po-
lice to report a theft from
a motor vehicle in the 4800
block of Pebble Brook
Street. During the incident,
between 6 p.m. Monday
and 7:15 a.m. Tuesday,
about $500 worth of vehi-
cle parts and accessories
were taken.
• A theft in connection
with shoplifting was re-
ported from a store in the
1700 block of Garth Road
about 11 a.m. Thursday.
About • $35 worth of
property was taken.
• A woman reported the
theft of $600 worth of jew-
elry on Jan. 1 in the 1700
block of Hartt Drive.
• A theft of $8,900 worth
of jewelry w as reported to
have occurred on Jan. I in
the 2500 block of Doral
Drive.
• A vehicle inspection
sticker was found to be
missing and presumed sto-
len from the 4500 block of
Garth Road. The theft was
alleged to have happened
between Jan. 3 and Tues-
day.
Burglary of a habitation
• A report of a burglary
of a habitation was tak-
en after someone entered
an apartment in the 7500
block of Decker Drive be-
tween 5:15 p.m. Monday
and 7 a.m. Tuesday. Sev-
eral personal items were
taken.
• Between 3 p.m. Sun-
day and noon Monday, a
burglary of a habitation
occurred in the 1500 block
of Wilson Road. Items sto-
len were 13 Calloway Golf
Clubs in a black Callo-
way bag and a one-gallon
gas can. Items were worth
about $515.
• A burglary of a habita-
tion was reported from the
600 block of Rollingbrook
Drive. The burglary oc-
curred between 6:45 a.rn.
Tuesday and 1:20 p.m.
Tuesday and more than
$2,700 worth of computer
equipment and other items
were stolen.
• Several items were sto-
len during a burglary of a
habitation in the 900 block
of Edgebrook Drive be-
tween 10:15 a.m. and 2:40
p.m. Tuesday. While the
owners were away, $50 in
cash and more than $5,000
in entertainment equip-
ment was taken.
• Between 4 and 6 p.m.
Tuesday, a burglary of a
habitation occurred in the
3300 block of Rolling-
brook Drive, A laptop val-
ued at $175 was stolen.
Assault
• A woman reported be-
ing the victim of an assault
in the 3200 block of Garth
Road at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday.
There was no weapon- in-
volved and minor injuries
were reported.
Arrests
• A Baytown student and
two adults were arrested
in the 6000 block of Garth
Road at 4:08 p.m. Tues-
day. The two adults were
arrested for possession of
drug paraphernalia and the
student was arrested for
possession of a prohibited
weapon.
• Baytown police seized
7.5 grams of marijuana
during a traffic stop in
the 1400 block of Massey
Tompkins Road and Sin-
gleton Road. At 6:17 p.m,
Tuesday, police arrested
the woman for possession
of marijuana after the ve-
hicle she was a passenger
in was stopped for a traffic
violation.
• Police arrested a
Baytown woman for pos-
session of drug parapher-
nalia after the car she was
a passenger in was stopped
by police for traffic vio-
lations. The car’s driver
was arrested for a traffic
offense during the incident
at 2:44 p.m. Tuesday in the
1900 block of East James
Avenue.
• A 25-year-old man
was arrested on traffic vi-
olations and possession of
narcotic paraphernalia in
the 2200 block of Rolling-
brook Drive at 4:05 p.m.
Tuesday.
• A Dayton man was ar-
rested for possession of
drug paraphernalia at 6:33
p.m. Tuesday in the 2900
block of North Alexander
Drive.
