Off Baytown" event, which
is running during the same
time.
While residents are en-
couraged to pick up trash
throughout the neighbor-
hood as part of the Trash Off
event, the Hazardous Waste/
Electronics Waste collection
day encourages residents to
safely dispose of particular
materials.
Hazardous waste includes
paint products, pesticides
and fertilizers, motor oil and
filters, antifreeze, gasoline
and fuels, household clean-
ers, solvents, car batteries
and pool chemicals.

televisions, computer mon-

stolen from six
vehicles
Baytown police are in-
vestigating the theft of
vehicle parts from six ve-
hicles that belong to a leas-
ing company in the 6300
block of Garth Road. A
crime reported stated that
on Thursday at 1:37 a.m.,
someone stole the wheels,
tires ami other vehicle
parts from the six vehicles.
No value for the stolen
items was available.
Assault
• A woman allegedly
: assaulted her boyfriend
in the 1200 block of Mis-
souri Street at 10:57 a.m.
Wednesday.
• At 2:59 p.m. Wednes-
day. an assault occurred in
the 200 block of Morrell
Avenue.
• An assault was report-
ed from the 2100 block
of Pinemont Place at 4:25
p.m. Wednesday.
• A man driving an old-
er model brown suburban
allegedly shot at two sub-
jects in the 1200 block of
Pipe Street at 4:42 p.m.
Wednesday,
• A woman reported an
assault in the 500 block of
Harrison Avenue at 11:51
p.m. Wednesday. After
further investigation, no
charges were filed
Arrests
• At 12:59 p.m. Wednes-
day, a Bay town man was
arrested for multiple traffic
violations in the 10 block
of East Gulf Avenue.
• At 7:35 p.m. Wednes-
itors, laptop computers,
central processing units (or
CPUs), printers and scan-
ners, fax machines, stereos,
and VCRs and DVDs.
All materials should be
taken to the City of Baytown
Storage Facility at 1200 Lee
Drive, at the comer of Riggs
Street.
Citizens dropping off
items must remain in vehi-
cles at all times. Only au-
thorized individuals will be
allowed in the work area.
To safely prepare and
transport materials to the
collection site, here are tips:
• Bring products in their
original containers
• Do not mix products
• Make sure containers are
properly sealed and labeled
• If you don’t know what
it is, mark it unknown

class has donated $910 for
the purchase of books for
the library.
One book will be pur-
chased for each of the 26
classmates being honored.
“The donation means
that we have the money for
books we otherwise would
not have had the funds
to purchase,” Harp said.
“We’re thrilled the class has
chosen to honor the depart-
ed in this way.”
Principal Bruce Davis
was also on hand to accept
the donation.
As a part of the reunion
the class of ’63 will tour
Robert E. Lee and visit the
library to see the books that
have been donated in the
past three donations.
“We’re happy to help in
our small way,” Hester said.
“We hope the donation
leads to the enlightenment
of school children and that
we will be able to continue
to provide these wonderful
resources for Baytown.”
Classmates interested
in participating in the re-
union may pay the walk-in
fee of $125 to take part in
the weekend’s activities.
Besides visiting the high
school, the group will
also visit the Texas His-
toric Plaza Museum, the
Baytown Historic Muse-
um at the old post office
on Defee Street.

planned throughout the
weekend.

at 11:22 p.m. Wednesday.
• A Baytown man was
arrested for public intox-
ication and possession of
drug paraphernalia in the
1000 block of North Main
Street. I he arrest was at
I :Q7 a.m. Thursday.
• Police arrested a
Baytown man for driving
while intoxicated in the
1000 block of North State
Highway 146 and Garth
Road at 1:31 a.m. Thurs-

Dog stolen
• A dog was stolen from
a yard in the 2100 block
of Utah Street at 9 p.m.
Wednesday.
Thefts
• At 10:38 a.m,
Wednesday, a theft oc-
curred in the 800 block of
Schilling Avenue, during
which time S82 worth of
money and jewelry was
stolen,
• A theft occurred at a
store in the 4900 block of
Garth Road at 4:15 p.m.
Wednesday. About $60
worth of merchandise
was stolen.
• About $2,500 worth
of household goods were
stolen during a theft at X
a.m. Friday in the 2700
block of North Main
Street.
• A theft occurred at
10:20 p.m. Wednesday in
the 3500 block of Garth
Road. About $600 worth
of valuables were stolen.
Drugs seized
• Baytown police confis-
cated 2.5 grams of marijua-
na and arrested a Baytown
man and a Croyby man
during a traffic stop in the
6800 block of Thompson
Road at 2:52 p.m. Wednes-
day. T he men were arrest-
ed for possession of a con-
trolled substance.
Theft from
motor vehicles
• Police were called to
the 1.300 block of Fayle
Avenue in reference to the
theft of a motor vehicle be-
tween 7:30 a.m. and 3:30
p.m. Wednesday. A $1,500
trailer and an all terrain
vehicle valued at $14,800
were stolen.
• About $700 worth of
property was stolen from
a truck parke in the 4800
block of Seabird Street be-
tween 5 p.m. Tuesday and
5 a.m. Wednesday.
Criminal
mischief
• A woman reported a
criminal mischief in the
2500 block of East James
Street that caused $50 in
damage. The incident
happened at 9:28 p.m.
Wednesday.
Burglary of a
habitation
• A burglary of a habita-
tion happened in the TOO
block of Av enue I. at 9:40
p.m. Wednesday, A police
report stated that the bur-
glars shot at a subject who
had arrived on location.

motor vehicles
• A vehicle was burglar-
ized at a residence in the

tween 9 p.tn. Wednesday
and 4:50 a.m. Thursday,

was stolen.
Car stolen
A vehicle was reported
stolen in the 4.300 block
of Decker Drive after the
driver left the keys in the
vehicle and entered a store.
The vehicle theft happened
at 5:24 a.m. Thursday, It
was valued at $8,000.
29 offenses
Between Wednesday
and Thursday mornings,
Baytown police wrote 29
incident reports and in-
vestigated incidents that
included four assaults, one
auto theft, two burglaries,
three burglaries of mo-
tor vehicles, one crimi-
nal mischief, one driving
while intoxicated, eight
thefts, six other arrests,
and eight miscellaneous
cases.
During that same time
period, police also inves-
tigated three vehicle acci-
dents but reported no inju-
ries at any of them.

Police believe Myles then
exited the store, allegedly
used the keys to enter the
woman’s car and took her
purse.
Witnesses and store sur-
veillance cameras provid-
ed a detailed description of
Myles, of Baytown, who
was stopped by officers in
the 3300 block of North
Main Street.
Further investigation indi-
cated that Myles had taken
the money from the purse,
dumped the purse in a re-
cycling bin in front of his
home, and bought fast food
w ith some of the money.
About S389 was recov-
ered from Myles after he
was arrested and taken to the
Baytown City Jail. The re-
maining amount of cash w-as
unaccounted for. police said.
Myles was charged with
felony theft and has been is-
sued a “no bond."
