parent workshop from 5:45 ■
p.m. to 7:30 p.m. July 29. A
clinic will also be held at the
same time July 30 for Span-
ish speakers.
The workshop will be

Skilled leaders will teach
parents with children 5
years old and younger activ-
ities involving numbers, let-
ters, colors, sequencing and
patterns, and introduction of
reading and writing skills.
Take-home materials and
training will be provided.
Refreshments and super-
vision will be provided to
children up to the age of
10-years-oid.
Attendance is limited and
registration is open in ad-

Nena Annette Cock-
rell, 59, of Baytown
Texas, passed away on
June 5. She was born in
Muncie, Indiana to the.
late Howard Christopher
and Joan Yvonne Cock-
rell on October 26, 1953.
After graduating from
the University of North
Alabama, Nena moved
to Baytown and began
her career as a teacher
at Channelview High
School. She spent most
of her career working at
ExxonMobil as a Process
Operator and Training
Coordinator.
Nena is preceded in
death by her parents.
She is survived by her
brother. Christopher
Alan Cockrell; her niece,
Brandi. McKibbin and
her husband, Mike; her
great nephews whom she
loved dearly, Logan and
Chase McKibbin. and
numerous extended fam-
ily members and friends.
Nena will be missed
by all who knew her.
