WILL
OBSERVE ARBOR DM
Citizens of University Addition
Planning to Plant Trees.
The citizen· of Trinity University
addition will observe Arbor day thia
year. It is the parpoee of the facul-
ty of the university to give a holi-
day February 22 and they and the
students are planning to plant three
or four hundred shade trees and sev-
eral bods of roees on the campus.
It is the desire of those who reside
in the uinversity addition to vie
with the citizens of other portions
of the city in making Waxahachie
the most beautiful arid comfortable
little city in Central Texas.
Nothing adds more to the charrus
of a city than an abundance of shade
trees and flowers. Every man who
beautifies bis own yard or lot with
flower beds and shade trees is not
only beautifying and enhancing the
value of his property aud adding to
the comfort of his family but is
also adding real pleasure to all w.io
crtance to past his home. Every
one enjoys driving on certain streets
uiure iiieu *iu other· oecause 01 me
add«d pleasure that is derived from
viewing well kept yards and streets.

Trinity University addition will
plant trees on it and then ?ar-=i for

No lewfr than a thousand trees
should be planted in that part of
town this year. See to it that your
lot has as much «hade on it as a
neighboring lot or the neighboring
lot will be sold and yours will re-
main without a purchaser.
