night by John Smith a white boy.

Ardmore. A pistol razor and a pair
of shoes were stolen. City Marshal
Shippey found Smith at the show

him under arrest. He was lodged In
the county jail. He had sold the pis-
tol and razor at Moore's second hand
store. In addition to charges of
theft he will also be prosecuted for
unlawfully carrying arms.

Train service on the Katy was bad-
ly demoralized Saturday by the des-
truction of two bents of the long
trestle of the Chambers creek
bridge Friday night. The fire occur-
red about 7 o'clock as near as can
be ascertained but its origin 1· un-
known. The supposition is however
that the bridge caught from gran
which had been set on fire by · lo-
comotive. All the passenger traîna
Friday night and Saturday mornfnr
were detoured over tbo Trinity and
Bracoa Valley between Hllleboro and
Waxahachie. j
