formal invitations to Governor Lan- j
ham of Texas and Governor Foil; of j
Missouri to attend the Chautauqua
this summer.
After the meeting was called to or-
der Mayor Robertson was elected
chairman and W Λ Ownby secre-
tary..
Ο. H. Chapman stated the object I
of the meeting saying it was believed I
those two distinguished governors
could be prevailed upon to attend the
Chautauqua if the matter was pro-
perly presented to them.
It was moved that a formal invita-
tion be prepared and mailed to them
reuesting that they come to the Chau-
tauqua and be guests of the city on
! that occasion.
