W. M. Smith of Abilene,
former clttasa of Prairie, died
at his home In that city Friday
Mr. Smith and family leased

His health failed and he was In

The Prtddy Pups defeated the
Clifton college team Saturday
night. They left Prtddy about
2:30 Saturday afternoon. They
were all feeling fine and ready
to play ball that night at 7:00
o’clock;
The Pups were given - their
supper In the dining room of the
college.
The Pupa enjoyed several
games of horseshoe pitching and
then made ready to go to the
gymnasium to plsy ball. After
watching the Clifton boys de-
feat Waco 23 to 22 and then see-
ing the Priddy girls defeat the
Cltfton glrla 12 to ll, the Prtd-
.djt Pups decided they would let
the girls see them win a game,
to6.
The Pups fought hard through
out the game and continued to
pile the scores up until the last
minutes of the game. The score
was 40 to 20. Mason toma high
point man. Everyone should be
present at Priddy February
and see those Pups go.
Drawing will start for the
games of the county tournament
promptly at 8:30 o'clock, and
the Drat game will atari at 9.
We are going to try to make
the county tournament at Prid-
dy a great success this year. Ev-
eryone come and do their pari.

MRS. MARY NEEDHAM DEAD
Mra M. 8. Needham, better
known as "Grandma Needham,"
passed over the riverT>f death
Wednesday at Coleman. Inter-
ment eras at the family ceme-
tery at Gleneove Thursday. She
was 92 years of age and a mem-
ber of the Primitive . Baptist
church over 60 years and re-
cently walked a block to attend
church services.
She Is survived by ten chll
