Two Kinds of Farming.
There are two kinds of farming practised in this
vicinity—irrigation and dry farming. There is no
use to go into the details of irrigation—the views
here presented are evidence enough that it is a pay-
ing proposition. We want to tell you something
of our dry land farms. They are almost equal to
the irrigated farms. Our red sandy soil is unex-
celled for cotton raising any where in the South. It
holds moisture like a jug and when a good rain falls
upon it you have moisture enough to last you six or
eight weeks. You don’t have to have a rain every
week like your black land neighbor. One rain is
sufficient to keep .your crop growing six or eight
weeks, or even longer if you study the soil and work
it accordingly. Owing to our limited amount of
space, we cannot go much into details, but suffice it
to say that there is no better cotton growing soil on
earth than is found right here at Pearsall.
We have farms for sale both in the artesian and
dry farming sections of the County and would be
glad to show you over them. Office in Brake Bldg.

BARGAIN LANDS.
The best bargains in either acreage proper-
ty or town lots can be found with us. We
have some good acreage tracts adjoining
Pearsall that range in price from $65 per acre
up, a fact that will be a surprise to even the
home people. We also have some town lots
that we can sell for $50 and up, and anyone
familiar with the prospects and growth of
Pearsall will readily see that these are real
bargains, no matter where they are located.
You who have no home had better take ad-
vantage of these cheap prices and buy now,
because they cannot last, and the longer you
put it off the more you will have to pay for a
home. We have not the space to enumerate^
our many bargains, but our office is always
open and we can show you a list of property
that will satisfy, both in price and location.
Now is the Time to Buy
BANKS ARE NOT WANTING.
Pearsall has two good banks—a National and a State -with a com-
bined capital and surplus of $180,000.00 Each bank is backed by the
wealthiest citizens of the County and they are safe and conservative
institutions. Below is a picture of the Peoples State Bank.

THE KISS.
A kiss is a peculiar proposition. Of no use to one. yet abso-
lute bliss to two The small boy gets it for nothing, the young
man has to steal it and the old man has to buy it. The baby's
right, the lover’s privilege, the hypocrite’s mask. To a young
girl, faith; to a married w’omanr-hope; and to an old maid, char*
ity.
No matter what the case may be; you will always be on the
safe side if you place your Fire Insurance with WALTER
TRICKEY, the man with plenty of time to give your business
proper attention.
