SWAT THE ROOSTER
We have come to the close
of auother hatching season and
It is time to dispose of the
rooster. Late hatched chicks
are as a rule not profitable.
Fertile eggs entail great losses
to the poultry industry. Why
keep the rooster.
Why not designste the week
ending May 3rd, aa “Rooster
Week7* and bring all the old
roosters to market. Uaually the
produee house* will pay more
for roosters if they are deliver-
ed at a given time.

er. W. P. WEAVER. 1

CARD OF 1THANKS
We are grateful beyond ex-
pression for the kindness and
sympathy extended to us dur-
ing the illness and after the
death of our beloved "son and
brother, Edward Lee. The peo-
ple of Star, who are noted for
their kindness to those in trou-
ble or sorrow, exerted them-
selves to be helpful and kind to
us. One of the appreciated evi-
dences of sympathy was the
closing of the places of busine
in Star during the funeral. We
are thankful to all.
