made on August 5th on the following:
To J. C. Story, Uvalde, 1000 head;

have been accepted.
- The Central Power & Light Co., is
putting much new equipment in Rock-
springs at present, new poles have
been set over the city, and the line-
men will be put to work immediately,
stringing wires, and we can feel as-
sured that this company will give you
service on your stoves and other ex-
tra equipment at an early date. In
fact, they are bending every effort to
get all equipment in and working by
the middle of the month.
F. F. Clinton, who has charge of
the range sales in this territory, re-
ports that the company has extended
the special campaign prices on ranges
here, and on account of the company
not being able to connect ranges im-
mediately following the demonstration
have extended the time, as the follow-
ing communication will show:
Mr. F. F. Clinton, ,
Rocksprings, Texas.
In line with your recommendation
with reference to the continuation of
the campaign range prices in Rock-
springs, wish to advise that while this
is somewhat out of the ordinary for
us to continue special campaign prices
after campaign has once been closed,
we are pleased to advise that after
serious consideration, owing to cir-
cumstances concerning Rocksprings,
take this letter as your authority to
continue this special campaign price
until August 15th, as we are sure that
Claude Priddy returned the last of
the week from Temple, where he had
an examination made of his throat,
and the doctors there pronounced it a
bronchial affection. Mr. Priddy left
this week for Oystal City, where he
will be in charge of the machinery
department of the Mayhew Lumber
Co. We are indeed sorry to lose Claude
and his wife, yet we are glad that he
has been placed in charge of a depart-
mental business, and we are confi-
dent that the Mayhew people will
find in him an excellent young man
of the best attainments, and business
qualifications that will merit rapid ad-
vancement at their hands.
