To New Building
KINGSVILLE — An entire libra-
ry is being moved at Texas A&I Col-
ege this week as the first step in
retting the new A&I Administration-
■.ibrary Building into operation.
Librarian Fred Graves says he
hopes to begin full-time service to
the public in the new quarters by
Saturday. The library now occupies
two ground-floor wings of the pre-
sent Administration Building.
President E. H. Poteet said that
his office, and those of the registrar,
dans, business staff, and other ad-
ministrative personnel would be
moved to the new $500,000 building
soon thereafter. The transfer should
be completed before March 1, he
predicted.
The building is to be dedicated
at special ceremonies February 19,
with Chancellor Janies P. Hart of
the niversity of Texas as principal
speaker. The A&I Board of Directors
will meet that afternoon.
The largest portion of the U-shap-
ed structure will be devoted to the
library, while the two wings will
house the administrative offices. The
entire building is air-conditioned.
