At a faculty meeting held
Tuesday, Dec. 10, the following
three items concerning the Great
Books Reading Program were pre-
sented to the faculty by a study
committee. They were accepted

The Concert Choir presented its
first two concerts yesterday after-
noon and evening. They sar-g in
Rosenberg, Texas at 1:25 Thurs-
day afternoon and in Beaumont,
Texas at 7:30 p.m. last night. To-
day they are singing in New Or-
leans, Louisiana.
The bus and two cars carrying
the choir left at 9:30 a.m. Thurs-
day morning on the thirty-fifth
consecutive choir tour. This year's
tour takes the choir to Louisiana,
Alabama and Florida.
The first Florida concert will
be presented in Ft. Walton Beacn.
From there they will travel to
Panama City, Winter Park and
Miami, the highlight of the trip.
On the way back to TLC, the
choir will sing in Eau Gallie,
Jacksonville and Pensacola, Flor-
ida, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and,
Bellaire, Texas.
The Christmas Tour Repertoire
includes twenty songs, ranging
from traditional Christmas hymns
to a contemporary Gloria.
A selection of eight songs en-
titled “Carols of Many Peoples”
highlights the Concert Choir’s
programs. This includes a French
song accompanied by flutes, a
Spanish song sung by the Madrigal
singers, a Norwegian song, an
American song, and a song with
a Swedish background. The final
song of this section will be the
German “Stille Nacht,” which we
know as Silent Night,
The choir began their tour De-
cember 12, and will return late on
December 22.

Stays Active
The TLC forensic club hosts
San Antonio College and South-
west Texas State College Satur-
day, December 14. The three
round tourney will begin at 8
a.m. in Wupperman Little Theater
The public is cordially invited

During semester break, Jan-
uary 31-February 1, TLC will en-
ter the Baylor University tourna-
ment at Waco, Texas. Participat-
ing in the Senior Men’s Division
are the teams of: Robert Weller,
John Braulick; Larry Olsen, No-
lan Sucher; D. K. Kunkel, Jimmy
Willmann.

The Junior Qualifying Exam in
English will be administered on

3-Quarters
The Three-Quarters, the student
literary magazine of TLC, will be
published in May. It will only be
available in limited quantities this
year. The editor for the 1963-64
issue will be announced soon.
Sorority Rush
The dates have been set for
two progressive rush parties to be
given by each sorority. The

The contest is open to all dorms.
Judging will take place on Decem-
ber 14 at 3 o’clock.
The divisions will be novelty,
religious and beauty. Each divi-

Mrs. Bogisch, Miss Brown, and
