being the ease it is highly Import-

does not pledge himaelf unqunlifled-
ly to the propoaiiion of devising
some mcan» by which Jbt> pike roads
of this county may be repaired and
maintained. In evenjf he is elected.
A new court la to be choseu thin
year hud one of its first duties
should be to adopt some method of
preserving the splendid roads we
now have. If you wan! to stop the
present deteroriatlon and disinte-
gration of many of these roads go
to the polls on July 22nd and
(scratch the name of every candidate
who is not willing to pledge himself
to their preservation.
It is unnecessary for us to go In-
to details as to the general condi-
tions of the pike roads of the coun-
ty. It is apparent to the citizens of
the county who tra\el them day
after day that they are going to
decay very rapidly and If they are
not repat ml at an early date they I
will nut lust five years longer Home
of the*e roads are almost worn out
now in places* There Is a section |

agreement betwces two counuli-

The minutes of our city council !
failed to show ordinances admitting
the territory of two additions to the I
city and because of this the legal

The new charter corrects this and
also brings Intothe city that part
