Here we are once more to give
you a prevue of the latest styles
seen around W.H.S. The cool days
cause many sweaters and skirts to
appear. Darlene Priddy’s lavender
sweater was really an “eye catcher”,
not to mention the gray and yellow
one worn by Charleen Johnson.
Jacquard sweaters are being seen
quite frequently too. Possibly you’ve
all noticed the green one with white
telephones, worn by Marilyn Meyer
and the red one with black skunks
worn by Joye Farmer. Norma
Bridge’s white turtle neck sweater
was attractive as was Billie Wal-
drip’s navy sweater. Jumping from
sweaters “down” to skirts, we find
that everyone seems to have a dif-
ferent one. Eleanor Tison’s yellow
and green plaid skirt fastened with
a large safety pin was quite attrac-
tive and so was the brown and green
plaid skirt that Pat Williams wore.
The warmer days have brought
out many print dresses so we all
know that it isn’t winter yet. Wan-

da McCarty’s red and white check-
ed dress as was the red plaid worn
by Betty Shaw. Eloise Williams was
seen wearing a rose and white strip-
ed dress that caught everyone’s at-
tention. Joye Wells and Pat Davis
have been seen wearing turtleneck
dresses. Joye’s is yellow worn with
a brown belt, while Pat’s is red with
small white buttons sewed on the
neck and on the belt.
Virginia Driver certainly looked
nice in that cute white peasant
blouse. Jo Ruth McCreary’s high
necked brown crepe blouse is very
attractive and Lobera Johnson’s
blouse with the ruffled sleeves
caught the eye of the students.
The boys just refuse to be out-
done by the girls. We’ve seen quite
a few of them wearing boots and
jeans. Will Taylor and Marshall Col-
liflower were seen in yellow “brit-
ches” trimmed with black corduroy.
Speaking of boys, didn’t they all
look nice the day we had our pic-
tures made. Maybe we should have
them made more often.
