FATHER’S DAY PICNIC
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Travis
Motley of Reinhardt was the scene of
a Father’s Day picnic for the Motley
family Sunday.
Guests were Mr. and Mrs. R. W.
Euckert, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Mot-
ley and John Bob, Mr. and Mrs.
Charlie Beach all of Reinhardt; Mr.
and Mrs. Dow Riggs, Plano; Miss
Ruth Hoover of Dallas; Mr. and Mrs.
H. R. Motley and Mr. and Mrs. Rich-
ard Motley and sons, David Wood-
row and Joe of Mesquite.

Mrs. T. B. Reeedy was hostess to
the W.S.C.S. of the Methodist Church
at her home Monday evening for
the educational and pledge program.
Rev. Fred Broyles gave the devo-
tional.
Mrs. F. M. Hunstable was hostess
to the Balch Springs Home Demon-
stration Club June 19.
Mrs. H. A. Rutherford and Mrs.
W. H. Austin gave the demonstration
on corsages.

Commencement exercises for Va-
cation Bible School were held Friday"
night. Pictures of the parade were
shown and handwork made during
the school were displayed. There was
a total enrollment of 130 with an
average attendance of 100.
The Bible school group made a
tour of the salt mines at Grand Sa-
line Monday. Lunch was served in
the park.
W.M.U. met Thursday" morning at
the church for Royal Service and
Bible study.

We are looking forward to our
weeks revival beginning June 24
with the pastor preaching. The revi-
val will close Friday night, June 29
with a picnic at Ferris Park. Every-
one is invited.
After W.M.U. meeting Tuesday the
ladies worked on the church beauti-
fication program.
Monday night the men cleaned and
worked on the church grounds.
A booster band was organized
Sunday night. Approximately 35
were present. Mrs. Alford is in
charge of the program. Mrs. Pritch-
ett is pianist. All youngsters are in-
vited to join the band.
Bro. Johnny Womack will hold a
two weeks revival at the church be-
ginning Sept. 16. We are looking for-
ward to this important event.
We wish to invite our many visi-
tors back again to all our services.
Mrs. Lillie King will leave Friday
to spend two weeks vacation with
Mr. and Mrs. James Prock in Shreve-
port.
Mrs. Inez Royal and her aunt,
Mrs. Y. O’Callaghan of Dallas, are
vacationing in Birmingham, Ala. and
visiting ancestral relatives in Vir-
ginia.
