met In the home of Mrs. A. L.
Reeae on Tuesday afternoon,
October 22. Mrs. Harvey Hale,
vice-president, presided during
the short business session. Roll
call was answered « with the
"Kinds of Clothes Lines I've
Used.”
Our agent, Miss Burrus, pass-
ed worksheets to each member
and they were urged to be sure
and fill them out and return
them at the next meeting. This
needs to l^ done in order for
her to make out her yearly re-
port. Miss Burrus was In charge
of the program for the meet-
ing. “Convenient Work Areas'
was the theme of the program,
this Includes screening of plants,
clothes lines and trash burners.
We were happy to have Mrs.
F. D. 8pradley Join the club
During the social hour, the hos-
tess served refreshments to 19
members. „
The next meeting will be at
the Youth Center, November 12
at 2:00 o’clock. Mrs. Allen Rocs
will be hostess for this meeting.

ghter ot Mr. and Mrs. Roy Klep-
per of Clyde became the bride
of James Leslie Hays, Saturday
evening, November ^2, 1957 In
the home of the bride’s parents.
The bridegroom Is the son of
James A. Hays of Killeen and
the grandson of Mr. and Mrs.
Key Johnson of Ooldthwalte,
with whom he made his home.
Vows were read by A. A. Ber-
ryman, minister of the Clyde
Church of Christ.
Jean Harris of Abilene was
maid of honor. She wore
High School and attended Dra-
ughoru Business College In Abi-
lene. They will make their
heme In Shamrock where he Is
employed by El Paap Natural

At the conclusion of the pro-
gram the hostesses served pum-
pkin pie and colfee to members
and guests. The Halloween
theme was carried out In the
decorations and refreshments.

James C. Bryant of Shamrock
was best man.
The bride wore a ballerina
length dress of' nylon lace over
satin. Styling featured a shap-
ed neckline and bouffant skirt.
She carried a bouquet of white
rose buds encircled with blue
feathered carnations.
Immediately following the
ceremony a reception was held.
Mrs. Hays Is a graduate of
Clyde High School and Is em-
ployed by Southwestern Bell
Telephone Company. Mr. Hays
is a graduate of Ooldthwalte
Self Culture Club ,

In the home of Mrs. E. R. Bruce
with Mrs. J. C. Evans as co-
hostess .
‘Mrs. Walter 8ummy was pro-
gram leader and Mrs. E. B. An-
derson gave the Invocation.
Mrs. Summy Introduced Mrs.
Walters Hester of Fort Worth,
Who In her charming man-
ner gave a very Interesting book
review, "The Believers” by Giles.
The book deals With the Shak-
ers, a religious sect. It was In-
teresting due to the fact that
very few knew there was a re-
ligion of this kind,
enjoyed hearing the
Mrs. Hester,
town girl.
Mr. and Mr*. Cecil Williams,
Leo Kdleman. Alva Dalton and
Annie Armstrong attended the
regular meeting of the Past
Matron and Past patrons Club
at the ranch home of Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Jennings near Lometa
last Monday night.
