LONDON. — Arrangements have
been completed for the Stratford-on-
Avon Shakespeare Birthday Festival
to be held as usual this year, in spite
of the destruction by fire of the
Memorial Theatre In which the festi-
val Jr usually held.
The Shakespearian plays connect-
ed with the festival will be given in
the local cinema-theatre, which, in
pdint of fact, i sactually more commo-
dious than the old theatre, giving
greater seating space and having
dressing room facilities for snore
than 100 players.
The properties and costumes which
were destroyed when the Memorial
Theatre was burned down have been
replaced by generous donors. .
