Couple exchanges vows in Cuero
A
Marie Louise Reuscher of Bryan
and Marc Donovan Coppedge of
Cuero exchanged wedding vows in
a double ring ceremony on Satur-
day,.January 8 at Southern Breeze
Plantation in Plantersville, Texas.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and
Mrs. Jon Reuscher of Bryan and
parents of the groom are Mr. and
Mrs. Raleigh Coppedge of Cuero.
Serving as Maid of Honor was
sister of the bride, Nancy Reuscher.
Serving as best man was Forrest
Striedel. Serving as ushers were
Jason Coppedge and Robert Tizard.
Following the wedding trip to
San Francisco, the couple will
reside in Austin.
The bride is a 1989 graduate of
A & M Consolidated High School
and a 1993 graduate of Texas A & .
M University.
The groom is a 1988 graduate of
Cuero High School and a 1993
graduate of Texas A & M Univer-
sity.
Grandparents of the bride are
Mrs. Marjorie Barnes and the late
Drew Barnes and Mrs. Mary Reus-
cher and the late Arthur L. Reus-
cher.
Grandparents of the groom are
Mrs. Lytha Keeslcr and the late Joe
Keesler and Mr. and Mrs. Coot
Coppedge.

Around Town with
Chicken Enchiladas
4 Chicken breast halves
1 16 oz. Can chopped tomatoes
1 10-1/2 oz. Can cream of chicken soup
14 oz. Can chopped green chiles
1 Teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 Teaspoon garlic powder
1 Cup chopped onion
2 Cups shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
12 Com tortillas
Cut chicken into strips and cook. Spray baking pan with non-stick
vegetable spray. Make sauce by blending tomatoes, soup, chiles, cumin
and garlic powder. Warm in microwave or on stove.
Assemble each enchilada by dipping tortilla in warm sauce to soften. Put
one strip chicken, 2 tablespoons cheese, 1 teaspoon onion and 1
teaspoon sauce on each softened tortilla. Roll up and place seamside
down in sprayed baking pan. When all enchiladas are in pan, sprinkle
with onion and pour remaining sauce evenly over enchiladas.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees Farenheit for 35
minutes or until bubbly.

Parties honor bride
On October 16, 1993 Miss Marie
Reuscher, bride-elect of Marc Cop-
pedge, was honored with a get ac-
quainted party hosted by Mrs. Kaye
Tarkington in her home. Close
friends of the groom’s mother were
invited to get to know the bride-
elect and her mother, Mrs. Betty
Reuscher. Special guests include
Mrs. Joe Keesler and Mrs. Coot
Coppedge, grandmothers of the
. prospective groom.

v honored a miscellaneous shower at
:*.‘the First Baptist Church Parlor on
•^November 6, 1993. Hostesses for
>*lhe shower were Myra Boothe,
:-:Judy Knight, Melba McGlothlin,
**-iCay Reese. Gertrude Reese, Carlyn
Semper, Jo Smith, Rachael Wallace
and Laura Whitson. Approximate-
ly 50 guests attended the shower.
On November 6, 1993 Mrs.
Cherry Coppedge and Mrs. Lytha
; Keesler hosted a "Grandmother’s
Party" to honor the bride-elect of
their grandson, Marc Coppedge.
The party was given at the Cuero
Country Club and approximately
200 guests attended. Special guests
were Betty Reuscher and Vikki Jo
Coppedge, mothers of the engaged
couple.
Miss Marie Reuscher was
honored with a luncheon and
shower at the Hanging Gardens
Restaurant in Dallas, Texas, hosted
by Mrs. Velva Hobson. Guests
were treated to a special slide show
depicting Marie’s life from infancy
to the recent engagement Miss
Nancy Reuscher, sister of the bride-
elect, narrated the slide show and
presented her sister with a special
gift. Special guests were Mrs. Mar-
jorie Barnes and Mrs. Mary Reus-
cher, grandmothers of the bride-
elect, Diane Thomas, Sarah
Robison and Marianne Blevins, sis-
ters of the bride-elect’s mother.
On December 19, Marie Reus-
cher and Marc Coppedge were
honored with a tool shower and
brunch in the home of Dr. and Mrs.
John Davis. Other hosts include
Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Goebel, Mr.
and Mrs. Monroe Rieger, Mr. and
Mrs. Bucky Sager and Mrs. Linda
Henderson.
