WE HAVE
HUNDREDS
OF OWNERS
We like for everybody to know that Central Power and
Light Company is an investor-owned electric light and
power company. It’s a business enterprise owned by people.
It is not owned by the city, the state or any kind of
government.
Our investor-owners are hundreds of people from all
walks of life, who have invested their savings in CPL
because they have confidence in us and our service.
Thanks largely to our stockholders and the funds they
provide, we are able to build for tomorrow — and keep
right on providing you with the best possible electric serv-
ice. And as we do this, we pay taxes — not use them.
A good example of American business working to assure
you of plentiful, low-priced electricity always!
