_Driving?.
Stay Alert,
Stay Alive!
A sleepy driver is a danger- I
ous one. Many of today’s mo- ■
dern medicines contain anti- :
histamines, tranquilizers and 1
barbiturates. Whether these
medications are being taken as
a decongestant; to combat al-
lergic discomfort; for tran-
quilizing effect; or other pre-
scribed reasons . . . they may
cause drowsiness. A good safety
rule is to avoid
driving when
drowsy, tired,
sleepy o r de-
pressed. Ask
your doctor if
t h e r e is any-
thing in the
prescription that will inter-
fere with ability to drive
safely. Now, the problem arises,
what to do if you must drive,
even though you are tired.
Drinking black coffee might
help, but won’t provide a pro-
longed effect of alertness.
There is a nemarkably ef-
fective product called Verv
Alertness Capsules which does
what the name implies. It is
available at local druggists in
convenient packages of fifteen
capsules for only ninety-eight
cents. (No prescription re-
quired.) Extensive clinical work
has demonstrated that where
intellectual processes are in-
volved, the ingredient in Verv
brings about a distinct increase
in rapidity and accuracy of
performance. Mental activity is
temporarily stimulated and the
capacity for prolonged work is
increased.
Verv Alertness Capsules are
timed disintegration capsules
specially prepared to release
the active ingredient gradually.
They are formulated by Amer-
ican Pharmaceutical Company,
and provide a continuous, sus-
tained and lasting, stimulat-
ing effect, over a 6-hour period. _
