Holy Name Society
To Attend Convention
The Holy Name Society of
Mercedes will attend a con-
vention Nov. 8 in Alice from
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The society
members invite all Catholic
men of Mercedes to attend
the meet.
On Oct. 31, a dance will
be held in the Civic Center
by the Holy Name Society.
Mercedes residents are in-
vited to the dance accord-
ing to society members.
The society is also visit-
ing the TB hospital in Har-
lingen on Sundays. Members
take books and magazines to
the patients in the hospital.
Anyone having old books and
magazines which they will
donate to the hospital are
requested to call L05-1483.
Recently the Holy Name
Society were responsible for
cleaning the Catholic ceme-
tery in preparation for the
observance of All Soul's Day
Nov. 2.
