Want a New Industry in

THE \ TEXASVTMX|JGLE
Righi ARM* for Industry
*Available
Raw
Material
Some industrial assets come naturally — such as good
climate, many raw materials, room to grow. Others are
man-made, and depend upon the character of your
community. Recreational and educational facilities, for
example. A- strong local economy. A clean, attractive
town. Civic pride. A friendly welcome.
Arm for Industry, a community development program
sponsored by Central Power and Light Company, is
designed to help South Texas communities make the
most of their advantages as places to live and to work.
More than 50 towns served by CPL took inventory of
their assets and liabilities in the successful 1963 Arm
for Industry contest. The 1964 contest provides a fur-
ther incentive for industry-conscious South Texas com-
munities to progress through civic betterment projects.
Four towns can win prizes in the 1964 competition, and
everybody wins through community self-improvement.
