On record in the county clerk's
office here Thursday were deeds from
Carl Obenchaln of Colorado county
and others under which J. B. Tur-
ner. Jr., and John T. Yantis of
Brown county become owners of a
1.638 acre ranch on Pecan Bayou In
the southern, part of Brown county.
Consideration for the sale was
$27,416.55. according to a deed from
the former owner* to Turner1, A
one-half undivided Interest, to be
held In trust for him. was deeded
by'Turner to Yantis in a separate
conveyance.
The acreage is described as in-
cluding 1,478 acres in the George W.
Gardner survey No. 10 and 180 acres
patented to W. W. Lockhart, locat-
ed on the northeast bank of Pecan
Bayou 15 miles from the bayou's
mouth.

Obenchaln of Colorado county; Mrs.
Lenore Rugtiey and husband. Ro-
land Rugeley, Matagorda county;
Mr*. Hilda Witmer of Harris coun-
