SEATTLE, Wash., April 5.
(INS)—She’s not a pilot, but she’s
flown a million miles.
-Miss Clara Johnson, attractive
young stewardess who flies regu-
larly between Seattle and Oakland
on a United Air Lines run, bar
made 1,379 trips. Herber C. Mil-
ler, veteran Coast pilot, congratu-
lated her and presented her with
a certificate as she alighted from
a plane at Boeing field after com-
pleting her millionth mile.
I’ve enjoyed every mile, and I’m
looking forward to several million
more,” Miss Johnson smiled. And
then she added, “Just how many
times would that be around the
world?”
The veteran stewardess, who has
flown for six years, is one of five
-United Air Lines stewardesses in
America to pass the million-mile
mark. She is a graduate register-
ed nurse.
