JAVELIN NEWS
As this goes to press the Javelins
are enroi^e to Eagle Pass for a game
with the Eagle Pass High School
Eagles. We expect a good game.
The Squad wishes at this time to
thank you for your splendid uttend-

crowd was large and very eutlmslas-
tie. If you closed your place of busi-
ness for the game; if you attended
the game; if you in any way helped;
to you Is a part of the glory of the 7
to 0 victory. We. the team, are
proud of Crystal City.
Pearsall had a good, well couched
team. They played good ball through-
out the game; this is also true of
Crystal City. Our boys played hard
and enure from behind to win. They
w< n because they were the liest team.
The game itself was very ragged.
Fumbles, mistakes of all kinds, mixed
with genius, good plays, bad plays
bruin work, and dumbness; that was
the game. Through It all we were
aide to see a good team in the making
each Individual boy did his best.
There were no real stars of the game
although Fred Walker looked good

in an effert to stimulate a greater "Bny-at-Ilome" spirit among
citizens of Crystal City, the Sentinel 1* this week running a
group of editorial feature st cries In which citizens here will be ii|i-
iri'.Ised cf the excellent service and merchandise the local merchants
have to offer.
It has always been the policy of the Sentinel to co-operate with
the local business firms ip auy way piosslhle to impress upon the
peopJe of this locality the imiiortance of trad lug* here. Only ns Crys-
tal City merchants prosper can they offer siqierlor service and a
larger assortment of merchandise from which to make selections.
It is the hope of locnl merchants to stimulate trade here. It lias
lieen proved time and again that In many Instaucees prices and quality
of merchandise of the home merchants are equal to those in other
trading centers. Your suppoit cf the liouie firm in preference to tluwe
out of town gives your husband, son or daughter employment filial
keeps your money revolving In sufficiently dose proximity to your
own heme that yon receive direct benefits from the money expended.
As our merchants prosper so will our conummlty ptosper anil
o*ir merchants and community can only prosper with our fullest co-
o|« rutloa.
