erett Holland Jones of San Antonio,
became the new Bishop of the Epis-
copal diocese of West Texas. Rev.
Fenner is a Bishop of Kansas and
acted as co-consecrator at the conse-
cration. For several years he was
rector of the Episcopal Church at
Uvalde.

Week, and believes that civic clubs
or other interested groups will be
able to get more cooperation then
in a state-wide cleanup than at any
other time.
“We should turn our attention not
only to schools, theaters, and public
buildings, but to our own horpes,”
he declared. He pointed out that the
public places in most | cities are
watched by fire officials, but the
home safety angle is up to the fam-
ilies themselves.

8,000 persons in the United States
lost their lives due to burns, for a
death rate of 6.3 per 100,000 popu-
lation
