and Mrs. JL Leo Greer, has been quite
sick for the past two weeks, with a
severe attack of bronchial pneumon-

San Sa’ba.—The Jumbo Hollis pecan
tree, owned by J. W. Morris at Bend,
probably holds the world record for
one season’s production. This tree,
located on the banks of the Colorado
river in San Saba county and probably
1000 years old, has brought its- owner
$1060 in a single season.
Ten thousand pecan buds, including
the Jumbo Hollis and other superior
San Saba varieties, have been sent
to pecan growers of the Rio Grande
Valley for budding purposes this sea-
