Singleton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Redden, a native of
Dawson County, died in Tucson
about 1 p.m. Sunday. The cause of
her death was being withheld
pending results of an autopsy.
She as born on Sept 1, 1950 in
Lamesa. She attended the
Seminole schools. New Mexico
State University at Las Cruces
and earned a BA. degree from
Southern Methodist University at
Dallas. She was a member of St.
Luke’s Methodist Church jn
Amarillo

“Sew It With Cotton” contest told
Winners chosen Saturday
morning bv a panel of out-of-town
judges in the Gaines County Civic
Center capped the "Sew It With
Cotton" contest at a style show
that afternoon
Staged by the Seminole Cotton
Promotion Club, all garments
were, stitched . of 1(H) per cent
cotton fabric from an original
design or commercial pattern
Two entries were limited per
model in separate categories and
first, second and third prizes were
given in each category. Ribbons
were .placed on all entries. First
place in all categories received
$5u, second. $35 and third, $25 The
prizes were given in the form of
certificates redeemable at the
establishments of associate mem
bers of the Cotton Promotion
Club For every 10 entries or
portion thereof in each category,
one entry is allowed into the
District "Sew It With Cotton
contest thatwill be held in Tahoka
on Oct 14 at the Lynn Counts
