She
was bom
in Cuero,
Texas to
Bertha
(Moeller) and Rudolph Nagel on
September 20, 1905. She attend-
ed Cuero schools and graduated
from the University of Texas.
Elnita taught school in and
around Cuero, and also in San
Antonio until 1939. She was pre-
ceded in death by her husband,
Rudolph J. Janecek, who owned
Rudy’s Pharmacy until his death
in 1973. She was active in vari-
ous groups and served as presi-
dent in the ladies auxiliaries of
both the Bexar County and
Texas Pharmaceutical
Associations. She was a devoted,
60-year member of First
Presbyterian Church.
Elnita is survived by her
daughter, Jane Janecek Lemoine
and husband, Bill Lemoine of
Boerne, Texas; her son, Bob
Janecek and wife, Donna of
Beaumont, Texas; four grand-
children, Jennifer Lemoine
Brunk and husband, Dave of The
Woodlands, Texas, Craig
Lemoine and wife, Amy of
Lubbock, Texas, David Janecek
and wife, Trisha of Spring,
Texas, and Gary Janecek of
Nederland, Texas; and two great-
grandchildren, Ryan Brunk and
Nathan Janecek.
The family received friends
Sunday afternoon from 3 o’clock
to 5 o’clock at Porter Loring on
McCullough in San Antonio.
Services were Monday, Feb. 14
at the First Presbyterian
Church, 404 N. Alamo, in San
Antonio, the Rev. George Sturch
officiated. Interment followed
the service at Sunset Memorial
Park, San Antonio.

Melba H. Wolpman, 93, of
Yorktown, died Monday, Feb. 7,
2005.
She was bom Jan. 13,1912, in
Yorktown, to the late George and
Ida Kraege Hinsey. She attended
Texas Lutheran College and
graduated from Southwest Texas
State University. She was a
retired school teacher with 25
years of service with Clear
Creek, Yorktown, and
Meyersville schools. She was a
member of St. Paul Lutheran
Church, W.E.L.C.A., Missionary
Society, and a former member of
the Yorktown Hospital Guild,
Survivors: daughter, Lois
Strieber of Yorktown; sons,
Manroy Wolpman and Kraege
Wolpman, both of Yorktown; sis-
ters, Dorris Mueller of Yorktown
and Edith Schneider of Lockhart;
10 grandchildren; 25 great-
grandchildren; and two great-
great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: hus-
band, Fred J. Wolpman.
Visitation was Tuesday, Feb.
8 at Lamprecht-Janssen Funeral
Home Chapel, Services were
Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran
Church, the Rev. Patti Byrne
officiated. Burial was at

Robert Arthur Fielding, 68, of
Brazoria and formerly of
Yorktown, died Saturday, Feb. 5,
2005.
He was bom Dec. 27, 1936, in
Everett, Massachusetts, to the
late Edgar and Edith Crosby
Fielding. He was a veteran of the
U.S. Navy. He was a custodian
for the Yorktown Country Club
and a cook.
Survivors: daughter, Lori L.
Rodriguez of Victoria; sons,
Robert A. Fielding of Brazoria,
Walter K. Fielding of Scurry, and
Kevin E. Fielding of Weesatche;
sisters, Ruth Strelczyk of
Yoakum, and Joann Blanche and
Jean Gavin, both of Malden,
Mass.; brother, Stanley Fielding
of Malden, MaBs.; and several
grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: broth-
ers, Ernest Fielding, Kenneth
Fielding, and William Fielding.

Feb. 9 at Lamprecht-Janssen
Funeral Home Chapel. Services
were also Wednesday at the
funeral home. Burial was at St.
Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Delfino Navarro Jr., 72, of
Cuero, died Tuesday, Feb. 8,
2005.
He was born Aug. 10, 1932, in
Cuero, to the late Delfino Sr. and
Maria Chavez Navarro. He was a
truck driver for the City of Cuero
Street Department for 20 years
and a member of Our Lady of
Guadalupe Catholic Church.

of San Antonio, and Guadalupe
Hays of Ardmore, Oklahoma;
brothers, Ramon C. Navarro Sr.

Reader Duncan. Mrs. Cooper
was a homemaker and a lifetime
resident of Cuero. She was a
member Calvary Baptist Church.
She has two surviving daugh-
ters, Nelda Parr and Wanda
Spittler, both of Cuero; son-in-
law, Everett Spittler; eight
grandchildren; 23 great-grand-
children; and 10 great-great-
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, N. W. Cooper; her
brothers, Robert Duncan and
Albert Duncan; her sisters,
Beula Marshall and Annabell
Coker; and a son-in-law, Irl
James Parr.
A visitation was held Sunday,
Feb. 13 at the Freund Funeral
Home. Funeral services were
held Monday at Calvary Baptist
Church in Cuero, Brothers Bill
Gleason and George Yarborough
officiated. Burial was in Hebron
Cemetery under the direction of
Freund Funeral Home, Cuero,

Willo Lipscomb Jackson in
Luling, Texas. She was a home-
maker and a member of the
Daughter of the American
Revolution, South Texas
Hereford Association, Texas
Hereford Auxiliary and First
Presbyterian Church of
Yorktown.
She is survived by two sons:
Edward W. Roeder of Yorktown
and Richard J. Roeder of
Houston; seven grandchildren,
Ron Roeder of Houston, Rick
Roeder of Colorado Springs,
Colorado, Scarlet Barksdale of
Dallas, Shannon Roeder of
Boston, Massachusetts; Randy
Roeder of Brookland, Edie Boyd
of Katy, and Don Roeder of
Yorktown; and seven great-
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Rudolph J. (Rudy)
Roeder Jr.; two half-brothers,
Bill Hardy and Gus Hardy; and
one grandchild.
Visitation was held Sunday,
Feb. 13 at Freund Funeral Home
in Cuero. Funeral services were
at the funeral home on Monday,
Feb. 14, with the Revs. Will Paul
Menn and Ray Paul Santillano
officiating. Burial was in
Westside Cemetery, Yorktown,
under the direction of Freund
Funeral Home, Cuero, 361-275-
2343.
