The Yorktown Community
Hall will host its annual feast on
Sunday, June 12. There will be a
country store, cakewalk, silent
auction, raffle, and bingo. There
will also be a dance from 3 - 6
p.m. featuring Country
Crossfire. Barbecue beef and
sausage with all the trimmings
will be served from 11 a.m. to 2
p.m.

Bible School
First United Methodist
Church will hold its Vacation
Bible School, “Serengeti Trek”,
June 13 - 17. The VBS will run
from 9 a.m. until noon each day.
Defensive
Driving offered
The Cuero Chamber of
Commerce and Agriculture will
sponsor the next Defensive
Driving Course on June 14 and
15 at the Chamber meeting room
from 6 - 9 p.m. each evening. The
fee for the course is $35 for ticket
dismissal and insurance dis-
counts. The fee for senior citizens
taking the course for an insur-
ance discount is $15. Pre-regis-
tration and payment is required.

Techno camp
The DeWitt Technology
Center, located in the Industrial
Park behind Tod Slone Saddles,
will be hosting a Techno Camp
for kids ages 11-14. The camp
will be held through June 9 at
the center from 8 a.m. to noon
each day. Campers will learn
about programs on Windows XP,
as well as learning to use digital
photos with words to create iron-
ons and movies. For more infor-
mation, contact Jennifer at the
DeWitt Technology Center (275-
5030) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
City blood drive
The City of Cuero will be spon-
soring a blood drive on Friday,
June 10, from 3-5 p.m. in the
parking lot next to the City

repelrs end City officials are not sure when pool gates will
be open. Before the liner in the pool can be replaced con-
tractors, who have been no-shows on several occasions,
must clean out the debris from repairs and pressure wash

The Yoakum Rotary Club will
present Country Music USA on
June 14, featuring recording

at 7 p.m. and the cost is $3 per

be served beginning at 5 p.m.
The cost per plate is $6. Plates to
go may be picked up at the back

The Cuero Chapter 3168
AARP will meet for lunch at the
Senior Citizens Center at 11:30
a.m. on June 15. Each member is

Division will be holding a blood
drive on Wednesday, June 15
and Thursday, June 16 from 3-5
p.m. A mobile unit will be in the
parking lot, 202 Gazzie St.

classes of 1974-75-76 will have a
reunion on July 16 at the Cuero
