announcement of the marriage
at Fort Worth, on the 2nd inst of
Miss Hallie Kinsey to Earl Boyd.
The bride, who is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Kinsey,
is well known here.
A" thanksgiving servioe was
held Tuesday evening at the
court house to offer thanks to
God for the glorious rain of the
night before. The meeting was
led by Rev. Geo. F. Campbell,
and a strong talk was made by
Rev. Tucker, of Dublin. The
stores were all closed and a large
attendance was had.
Col, G. R. Freeman palls the
Herald’s attention to The fact
that just twenty-one days after
the farmer-tenants on his lands
west of town met and resolved
to petition the Throne of Grace
for rain the showers came. He
says they resolved to continue
their prayers until it rained.
And it came. Col. Freeman has
called a meeting at the Leesville
school house for Saturday at 10
a. m, to offer up prayers of
thanksgiving for the glorious
rains that have fallen.—
