ault of the higway meeting in
Comanche last Thursday, it new
seems a possibility that Federal
Highway No. 67, which now ter-
minates in Dallas, may be extend-
ed through Midlothian. Cleburne,
Btephenville, Dublin. Comanche,
Brownwood. Coleman, Rallinger,
San Angelo. McCamey. Fort Stock-
ton. Alpine. Marfa aud into Mexi-
co at Presidio, declared C. R. Hall-
mark, cashier of theTirst National
Bank and vice-president of the
Board of City Development, who
represented that organization.

COIXEGE OPENING FRIDAY
San Angelo, Oct 10 The official
opening and reception of San An-
gelo’s Junior College, which has
enrolled 7H students for the first
year’s work, will be held Friday.
October 12. faculty members state
The new building of the Junior
Hi College was constructed from
a $250,000 bond issue passed in the
city and has a $15,000 annual
maintenance fund. At present 10
faculty members are employed,
Abe I.ee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pat
w ho was injured when a shot
gun was accidentally discharged
while he was taking it from the
car, is much improved, according
to word received from Mrs. l.ee,
who is w ith her son in San Angelo
Recent announcements place the

delphia at IS,000. No wonder it
