We are entering into another Christinas Season; with it comes
the Spirit of giving. Giving should be a result of loving. God so
loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoso-
ever belleveth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. Then Jesus loved us enough that He gave His life for us.
Too often folks are prone to think of Jesus at Christmas time
only as the little Babe of Bethlehem who was born in a manger
among the cattle and other animals.
When He was a boy about twelve He astonished the wise men
in the temple with His knowledge, and by the questions He asked
them.
No, we cannot separate the cradle from the cross and the crown.
He did not remain a baby—neither did He remain in the tomb.
He arose and ascended into Heaven; there to intercede for the
people He loves.
Would like to share an original poem with you.
"If This Were My Last Christmas"
This may be my last Christmas
I’ve no guarantee of life
This world is full of heartaches
Of troubles, wars and strife.

If this were my last Christmas
And my body laid to rest
Could Jesus call to me and say,
‘‘I know you did your best’’?
God gave His precious son for us
That Christmas long ago
Then Jesus gave His life for us
Because He loved us so.
